Supply and Logistics Planning Manager

About the role:

You are responsible for optimal supply chain performance, a key component of the regional business strategy. You add value both internally and externally by achieving results that clearly confirm control over our supply planning processes. You improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the ‘plan to supply process’ on site, increasing the ease of doing business with and within Synthomer. At the same time, you monitor service levels and working capital and network cost targets.

The goal is to achieve a highly reliable, efficient, and cost-optimized supply chain.

You will report to the Global Director Adhesives Supply Chain. You will have 2 direct reports and 12 indirect reports in the areas of production planning; planning of finished products; and raw materials, logistics and warehousing activities. You will be based in Middelburg and Rotterdam. Travel is part of the role, expected to be < 10% of the time.

About you:

You have at least a relevant Bachelor's degree supplemented with professional courses etc. You are an experienced professional in the production/chemical industry, > 7 years, preferably in the petrochemical industry. Your background is in Supply Chain management, planning and project environments. You are familiar with modern Supply Chain best practices. You have experience with SAP planning modules, and you are proficient in supply chain planning software. Commercial or business experience is appreciated.

You are able to translate the company strategy into robust supply chain management strategies and plans. You work effectively in complex, international environments and balance between performance improvement and attention to operational details. You have the potential to bring about change through close collaboration with stakeholders and business partnering. Prior leadership experience (ability to manage teams effectively) is preferred.
