We ensure premium quality LEGO® products by defining and ensuring compliance of quality assurance processes, standards and guidelines to be followed at the sites, distribution channels and suppliers of core components.
Core Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring the safe introduction of new direct suppliers and securing the successful launch of new BOM materials (e.g., primary and secondary cardboard boxes, building instructions, cards, and resin). The role includes supplier quality development and management, with a primary focus on the Printing & Packaging category.
Direct responsibility:
Lead quality assessments and audits for new suppliers in partnership with the Procurement department.
Support new supplier´s selection and ramp-up processes to ensure successful onboarding.
Support the implementation of new technologies that interact with packaging materials.
Ensure compliance to LEGO standards and requirements for new suppliers.
Onboard and train new suppliers to ensure compliance with the LEGO Supplier Quality Handbook and other LEGO Group requirements (e.g. Product Safety & Product Quality Handbooks, VQG, FSC)
Manage and resolve supplier and material non-conformances during new suppliers ramp-up /introduction of new materials to ensure compliace with quality requirements.
Create supplier development plans and carry out activities to mitigate quality risks from new suppliers & materials.
Enable material improvements through close collaboration between LEGO factories and R&D.
Enhance knowledge sharing across the sites.
Coordinate and execute shadow productions (pilot & pre-pilot runs).
Participate in NPI/Engineering/Novelties (New Product Introduction) meetings and activities related to new projects.
Define and secure a safe launch plan for new suppliers and materials.
Gathering, analyzing, monitoring, measuring and reporting the performance data of suppliers
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in the implementation of productivity ideas.
Do you have what it takes?
Experience working in Supplier Quality or Quality
Experience in core tools: APQP, PPAP, AMEF, CP, SPC & MSA with proven evidence (3 years).
Experience in Supplier Development.
ISO 9001 Lead auditor certification
Six sigma Green/black belt as a plus
English fluent level
Availability to travel (domestic & abroad) 20-30% of time (passport and visa needed).
