As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will make a positive impact by being responsible for:

  • Define audits and surveys to ensure that all suppliers are meeting our business requirements, including flow down and quality standards
  • Managing Supplier Performance and Development
  • Executing supplier audit activities related to both validation and on-going management of quality execution capabilities.
  • Monitoring, reporting and supporting supplier quality metrics and performance. 
  • Supporting supplier corrective action and continuous improvement activities.
  • Supporting sites on incoming inspection and problem part resolution through all phases of operations. 
  • Facilitating reporting and notifying suppliers of cost-recovery requirements resulting from the need to contain, segregate or handle non-conforming parts. 
  • Supporting alternative supplier selection. Participates in customer-facing supplier quality activities.
  • Providing engineering support for all applicable areas of Quality Assurance.
  • Being the primary contact between Vusion Group and suppliers.
  • Implementing supplier corrective action & periodic supplier feedback.
  • Implementating and maintaining suppliers' rating system.
  • Conducting and evaluating supplier qualification/disqualification/audits.
  • REQUIRES: International travel to China and Vietnam 

Qualifications

Qualifications we're looking for. 

  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer/Supplier Quality Engineering or similar role such as a Manufacturing Engineer
    • Must have 2+ years of experience working with contract manufacturers with a Quality focus
    • Experience should include implementing and monitoring processes and metrics such as FPY/ TPY, FEA etc.
    • Proficiency in using testing equipment, measurement tools, and statistical analysis.
    • Expertise in Root Cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
    • Familiarity with quality management systems, methodologies and tools.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent knowledge of process monitoring and continuous improvement of the Supplier/Contract Manufacturer processes
    • Production data management
    • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to inspecting and evaluating products and processes, with an eye for detail to catch potential quality issues.
    • Decision-Making: Sound judgment and decision-making skills, particularly when determining the acceptability of supplied materials or components.
  • Abilities:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner. 
    • Team collaboration : ability to liaise between Vusion Group and contract manufacturers, ensuring that overall specifications, quality/manufacturing/regulatory requirements, and expectations are met for all products.
    • Customer-centric at heart: every decision you make revolves around our customers and bettering their experience.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering or related field
