The company has three manufacturing sites and research and development offices in Penang, producing automotive electronics, power tools and steering systems, and soon a fourth plant with a final testing centre for sensors and semiconductors. PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job Description
Position Overview
- Perform audits at the suppliers of electronic components in Asia/Pacific to drive Quality improvement of electronic components within BBM mobility company
- Support systematic problem solving onsite at the suppliers of electronic components in Asia/Pacific
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Conduct VDA6.3 process audit as lead auditor or support in qualification of suppliers as per ISO9001:2015/ IATF 16949
2. Technical visit at supplier site for supplier evaluation during product/project development or mass production phase
3. Drive gap analysis and countermeasures follow up based on the findings of the process audit or supplier evaluation.
4. Support solutions to improve supply chain based on supplier audit or supplier evaluation
5. Support supplier enabling and/or improvement programs to improve quality and/or production efficiency
6. Support systematic problem solving (incl. 8D process, 5 Why …) at the supplier in case of quality issues or supply issues.
7. Support physical analysis process at supplier
8. Support internal audits at PgP5
9. Support PgP5/QMM in 8D reports towards customer
10. Take up additional tasks as directed by immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Science, Electronic Engineering, or Physics or Masters Degree in the similar field
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in related field in a semiconductor manufacturing environment and at least 2 years of automotive exposure experince
- VDA 6.3 process audit, qualified VDA6.3 process auditor by VDA QMC preferred
- Supplier quality management or manufacturing process management with problem solving experience and Error proof/Poka-Yoke skill
- Basic knowledge on ISO9001/IATF16949 and be familiar with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA
- Effective communication skills to articulate supplier defects or related risks for cause analysis and coaching suppliers for corrective actions
- Advanced knowledge about wafer fab, assembly and test processes
- Communication in international team. Be familiar with English in writing, reading and reporting etc.
- Candidates with German & Mandarin language proficiency is an added advantage
