Role Overview
The Supplier Quality Engineer develops, implements, and maintains supplier quality assurance processes for external suppliers and internal manufacturing operations. This role analyzes quality performance data, conducts supplier and internal process audits, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. The position leverages process automation and data management tools, including Power BI, Power Automate, and related business intelligence platforms, to modernize quality workflows and improve data visibility. This role helps ensure products and materials from external suppliers and internal production meet company quality standards, maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations, and support the delivery of high-quality products to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality assurance processes for external suppliers and internal manufacturing operations.
  • Analyze quality performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct regular supplier and internal process audits to support quality standards and operational performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and supplier performance.
  • Use process automation and data management tools to modernize quality workflows and streamline supplier and internal supply chain management.
  • Leverage Power BI, Power Automate, and related business intelligence tools to improve data visibility and reporting.
  • Support compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and company quality requirements.
  • Partner with suppliers, internal manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality concerns and support ongoing improvements.
  • Help ensure products and materials from external suppliers and internal production meet company quality standards and customer expectations.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
  • At least two years of general experience in a manufacturing environment covering a broad range of quality functions and machining various materials from a quality and manufacturability perspective.
  • At least one year of specific experience developing, implementing, and coordinating quality plans.
  • Demonstrated ability in statistical process control techniques, methods, procedures, and systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis tools and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Experience with workflow automation platforms such as Power Automate, Zapier, or similar, or a strong demonstrated ability to learn automation tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, pivot tables, and formula development.
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office and SPC software experience.
  • Sound decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Compensation
$81,000 - $92,000/annual.
