Job Description

The Opportunity: 

Support Mattel China supplier quality activities by developing, qualifying, and monitoring suppliers. Drive continuous improvement of supplier quality management systems and component quality performance while ensuring compliance with Mattel quality, safety, regulatory, and sustainability requirements.

 

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Develop, qualify, and monitor suppliers' quality management systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct supplier assessments and support supplier qualification activities.
  • Lead or support supplier quality issue investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Monitor supplier quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide training and guidance to suppliers on Mattel quality requirements and procedures.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI), process validation, and engineering change activities as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier quality and product compliance requirements are met.
  • Prepare quality reports and communicate supplier performance and quality risks to management.

 

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or related disciplines.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields.
  • Preferred experience in supplier quality management of plastics, resin, textile, chemical materials, metal parts, electronics, or finished consumer products.
  • Experience in toys, consumer products, or manufacturing industries is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of quality management systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, SPC, and CAPA is preferred.
  • Good communication skills in English both spoken and written.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Frequent local travelling is required, occasionally need to stay at supplier factories for couple days to weeks.
