Your role and responsibilities:
In this exciting and challenging role, you will be responsible for supplier selection and development in the Chinese market from a quality perspective. You will work closely with our Quality Management team in Austria and will report to B&R headquarters regularly. At the beginning, a training phase in Austria awaits you in order to be integrated in our corporate philosophy. To expand our team and establish an independent quality representative in China, we are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Selecting suppliers regarding quality requirements
- Developing and evaluating supplier relationships
- Conducting supplier audits (system and process audits)
- Evaluating defective material and handling supplier complaints
- Implementing of actions in case of defective purchased parts
- Implementing and conducting incoming inspections of purchased parts
- Strategic coordination of organizational and professional tasks with Research & Development and Sourcing department
- Reporting to and strategy coordination with B&R Headquarters
Qualifications for the role:
- Completed technical education, preferably in the area of electrical engineering / electronics / machine manufacturing or mechatronics (technical college, university degree or equivalent)
- Several years of professional experience in the field of quality management
- Experience as an auditor (ISO 9001 / VDA 6.3)
- Independent and goal-oriented working method with high problem-solving competence
- Good intercultural knowledge of Asian culture
- Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, written and spoken
