The AMG Buyer will support sourcing and procurement efforts, focusing on strengthening relationships with Korean OEMs and vendors. This role involves managing ERP data, collaborating closely with the Korea Sales team, and identifying opportunities for excess inventory solutions and speculative buys. Responsibilities include growing accounts, processing purchase orders, reviewing BOMs for cost savings, and boosting overall gross profit. The Buyer will also work with the SDG Korea team to identify and qualify local vendors, monitor communications, and support transaction problem-solving. Flexibility and adaptability to new tasks and systems are key.
Insight on Your Impact:- AMG Buyer
- Maintain contacts and information in our ERP system and update any changes and add any pertinent information in relation to the account, contact.
- Work with Korea Sales to build rapport with OEMs for their excess lists and provide excess solutions to OEMs.
- Grow the account, both in revenue, gross profit and contact level.
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received
- Locate sources of materials, equipment, or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for suppliers and equipment
- Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy
- Identify possible speculation buys with confirmed customer demand on short or EOL/LTB product
- Work with Sales to fulfil orders on product that you have identified from your sales channels.
- Review excess BOM (build of material) for lower costs to provide to sales and increase overall gross profit for the company.
- Pick out high dollar parts, or premium brands that are available in the market.
- Review applications of product to help increase the opportunity for a sale.
SDG (Supplier Development Group) Korea- Identify and qualify vendors such as Franchise Distributors or Channel Partners in Korea.
- Monitor current CP performances and stay in communication with vendors.
- Assist the APAC buyers so that Korean vendors can be better utilized.
- Monitor email communications between Korean FD/CP vendors and APAC buyers to assist when needed.
- Assist with problem solving on transactions that involve Korean vendors in all categories.
- Assist the Doc Control team in verifying Korean company validity as needed.
- Responsible for other duties and obligations that may arise from time to time and as requested from the supervisor and / or company’s management
- Be able to adapt to new work instructions as needed.
