  • Lead supplier development, qualification, and capability enhancement across Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics commodity portfolios covering Metal Shapes, Fabrication, Special Process, Machining, Casting, PCBA, Wiring Harness and Data Solutions.
  • Drive part development, localization, dual sourcing, and India-for-India / India-for-Global initiatives to support business growth and supply resilience.
  • Lead supplier readiness for NPI/NPD projects, ensuring successful PPAP, FAI, APQP, and production launch execution.
  • Establish and execute supplier audit, qualification, and compliance programs aligned with global quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Own supplier quality performance, driving improvements in PPM, SCAR closure, COPQ reduction, warranty performance, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct supplier risk assessments and implement mitigation plans to ensure capacity readiness, business continuity, and uninterrupted supply.
  • Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Partner with Engineering, Sourcing, Operations, Planning, Manufacturing, and Global Commodity teams to support strategic sourcing and development objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Supplier Development Engineers while building organizational capability in supplier quality, manufacturing processes, and project execution
  • Possess strong expertise in enclosure industry manufacturing processes, including Sheet Metal Fabrication, Machining, Welding, Extrusions, Surface Treatment (Powder Coating, Plating), Wiring Harnesses, PCBAs, and Electromechanical Assemblies, enabling effective supplier development, process validation, quality improvement, and new product industrialization
  • Serve as the Project Owner for strategic supplier development, localization, and NPI initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, risks are proactively managed, and all qualification requirements are completed to enable seamless transition into serial production

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • 15 years of progressive experience in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, NPI/NPD, or Supply Chain within manufacturing industries.
  • Demonstrated experience managing supplier development activities across Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics commodities in Enclosures, Data Solutions, Power, or Engineering industries.
  • Proven success in localization, supplier qualification, NPI/NPD execution, supplier quality improvement, and supply base expansion.
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations, global supply chains, and cross-functional project teams.
  • Prior experience leading and developing Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, or Technical teams.

Skills

  • Knowledge on New Parts Development, Project Management and Localization
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA. 6 Sigma Green Belt as an added advantage
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015, IPC610 & IPC/WHMA-A-620 Training/Certification i
  • Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor / Certified Auditor
  • IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification
  • PMP or equivalent Project Management certification preferred.
