Boeing supplier development Asia Pacific team is seeking a Supplier Development Lead for Korea. This position is based in Seoul. With minimal management oversight, this person will be responsible for supply chain development activities in, including but not limited to:
- Developing and lead supplier development initiatives in line with Boeing supply chain strategy.
- Coordinates with relevant internal stakeholders and ensures opportunities are identified and executed while proactively identifying business risks and mitigation plans.
- Ensuring performance to plan, addressing key priorities, and assessing supplier capabilities and implementing development plans.
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, external stakeholders and industry/country officials.
- This position leads and participates in on-site supplier assessments to identify supplier capability and to support Boeing procurement strategy
- Identifies improvement opportunities and recommends training and mentoring on business and manufacturing practices to enhance supplier capability.
- Communicate report status and concerns across Boeing functions and to senior leadership.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Min. 8 years of Korea's aviation industry knowledge and experience.
- Min. 5 years of supply chain function experience in a heavy industry environment.
- Project management and cross functional team leadership.
- Entrepreneurial thinker. Able to link strategy-to-action.
- Culturally adaptive.
- Self-starter, influencer, proactive & positive.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills, verbal & written.
- English language proficiency required, verbal and written.
- Professional level Korean language required, verbal and written.
- Ability to travel periodically within Asia and USA.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience conducting supplier assessments leading to actionable improvements.
- Aviation/aircraft manufacturing process knowledge.
- Supply Chain certification: CSCP
- Lean Six Sigma certification.

This position will be based in Seoul, Korea.
Employment Type:
This position will be hired initially on a 2-years fixed term contract with the opportunity to convert to an open-ended contract, subject to individual performance or business's needs
