J.P. Morgan is seeking an experienced Supervisory Analyst (SA) to join its APAC SA team, which consists of 21 SAs based in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, providing 6-day/week, 24-hour coverage for APAC research in English, Mandarin, and Japanese. Our well-regarded team works closely together in a supportive environment. This role has a 5-day working week (Monday to Friday), based in our Sydney office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide supervisory review of Equity, Credit, Derivatives, Economics, Commodities, Technical Analysis, FX and Rates, and Index research
- Ensure that research complies with FINRA and local regulations, as well as firm policies and procedures, including watch list review and applying appropriate disclosures
- Multitask in a busy environment and review a variety of products: notes, in-depth company initiations, quick-take alerts, industry reports, podcasts/videos, blast e-mails, models, and PowerPoint presentations
- Copy-edit when required to bring research up to quality and control standards
- Collaborate with analysts and associates to reinforce business rules, regulatory guidelines and look-and-feel standards
- Work in a commercial manner, balancing accuracy and speed, in order to meet morning meeting and publication deadlines
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- FINRA Series 16, and 7-10 years’ experience as a Supervisory Analyst, preferably in an equity research department
- Focused, articulate, commercially minded, and well-organized
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to varying workflow volumes
- Excellent English-language editing skills
- Flexible and proactive in adopting evolving technologies
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- FINRA Series 4
- Experience with Eidos or other HTML publishing system
- Business level Mandarin or Japanese - written & oral
Hours and location
7:00am-4:00pm AEST in our Sydney office, with the potential of a hybrid office (80%) / home (20%) schedule after a training period.
