What's on offer?
Fulton Hogan is looking for Road Maintenance Supervisor based in our Morwell depot who will be responsible for overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Maintenance Crews and Inspectors on a daily basis, with an overall aim of ensuring both client and community expectations are met.
 

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise teams of maintenance crews and inspectors to achieve positive project outcomes by ensuring staff and contractors are appropriately inducted, trained and licenced to perform all works in a safe, effective and high-quality manner in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Understand and interpret activity specifications, maintenance programs, enterprise agreements and work orders to ensure works are carried out in accordance with organisational needs.
  • Effective rostering and scheduling of staff, vehicles and mobile plant to ensure agreed maintenance programs and emergency call out requirements are appropriately resourced.
  • Ensure the depot is sufficiently stocked with all required materials, signs and equipment.
  • Responding to network hazards within set timeframes
  • Assisting with routine network inspections
  • Involvement in works meetings, including conducting daily pre-start meetings and attending toolbox meetings
  • Identifying worksite hazards and assessing risk through regular safety audits and environmental risk assessments.
  • Giving feedback to the Senior Management on individual and team performance, safety, quality and timeliness of work.

How you'll connect to the role?

  • 5 years' experience working in road maintenance or transferrable industry
  • Previous people management experience essential
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Heavy rigid truck licence highly desirable
  • Mobile plant licences/tickets/competencies would complement the skills for this role well
  • Hold a Construction Induction Card (White Card)
