FRA Supervisor
Location: Wakefield with regular travel across Northeast Yorkshire and Humber
Salary: £42,107.53 per annum plus commercial vehicle and fuel card
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and resilient FRA Supervisor to support the delivery of Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) activities across our property portfolio. This role involves attending and surveying properties, completing pre- and post-inspections, signing off completed works, and working closely with subcontractors and landlords to ensure all tasks are delivered on time, within KPI, and to the highest safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be confident managing challenging conversations, maintaining strong professional relationships, and ensuring compliance with all FRA, health and safety, and operational requirements.
- Attend and survey properties as part of FRA compliance and supervision.
- Complete pre- and post-inspections to sign off completed works.
- Liaise daily with landlords, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery.
- Address challenges confidently, including difficult or confrontational conversations when required.
- Monitor work progress on site, ensuring quality standards, budgets, and KPIs are met.
- Produce reports on operational performance, activities, and improvements.
- Ensure full compliance with H&S regulations, SOPs, and FRA requirements.
- Maintain a professional customer-focused approach at all times.
- Manage and support team performance through coaching and development.
- Oversee company assets, including vehicles, tools, PPE, and material usage.
- Provide cover for other supervisors and attend relevant meetings and training sessions.
Role Criteria:
- FRA Knowledge
- Experience in fire door inspections
- Supervisory experience
- Health & safety knowledge, including COSHH
- Ability to navigate and challenge difficult stakeholders
- Willing to travel regularly across northeast Yorkshire and Humber
- Full UK driving license

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
As part of the recruitment process for this role, we will carry out a Background, Identity, Security clearance & BPSS check. For these checks to be completed, we will require from you the relevant identification, including Proof of Address, References, a valid passport and proof that you have lived in the UK for the last 5 years.
