Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise and support a team of up to 14 Production Operatives within a newly established production team.

  • Act as a hands-on leader, working alongside the team while providing day-to-day direction, guidance and support.

  • Carry out assembly and manufacturing duties alongside the production team, following work instructions, specifications and established procedures.

  • Promote a positive team culture through open communication, collaboration and recognition.

  • Support the team in meeting daily production schedules, quality standards and operational targets.

  • Lead by example in promoting a safe working environment.

  • Drive team performance through effective communication and engagement, ensuring each team member understands their role and contribution.

  • Monitor team performance and facilitate regular one-to-one meetings, coaching and performance reviews.

  • Monitor and manage team time and attendance.

  • Implement company change initiatives effectively and support team members throughout periods of change.

  • Ensure team compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards.

  • Prepare production metrics, status updates and reports, escalating issues and risks to the FSP Director as appropriate.

  • Comply with and ensure adherence to all health and safety requirements, safe systems of work and PPE requirements.

Requirements:

  • Previous team lead/ supervisory experience required.

  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or similar work is desired but not essential.

  • Strong knowledge of safe working practices.

  • Ability to follow instructions and established processes consistently.

  • Willingness to learn new skills across a range of production tasks.

  • Strong attention to safety and quality.

  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to doing work to a high standard.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks.

  • Forklift or machinery experience is an advantage but not required.
