Job Details:
This position is responsible for coordinating the shipping/receiving of cross dock and warehousing of all products to ensure timely deliveries and quality products for Tyson customers.
Other duties include:
- Completing all paperwork associated with payroll new hires vacation etc.
- Scheduling of team member workloads.
- Administering policies and guidelines and ensuring standard operating procedures are being followed, which are established by OSHA and Tyson Foods.
Other responsibilities include: Working with sales personnel to ensure proper shipment; coordinating with our drivers and other trucking companies to ensure proper delivery dates; ensuring safety procedures are being implemented and upheld; conducting crew and shift meetings to communicate goals and expectations; meeting daily load goals while not sacrificing the quality of the product being shipped; other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; college degree a plus.
Experience: 1 plus years experience in material handling, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Supervisor level or higher preferred
- Experience in the pork or beef industry fresh meats with general knowledge of production operations, techniques, food safety, product yields, and USDA regulations a plus.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Proficiency in Excel a plus.
Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills; bilingual skills preferred.
Special Skills: Team Leader, coach, problem solver, and special projects skills; good attendance and safety record; must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; Cold chain management experience in warehouse environments a plus.
Supervisory: This person is responsible for supervising a group of team members who perform various warehouse tasks or activities.
Travel: Minimal.
