Job Description

In collaboration with the Manager, Aircraft Import and Export, the incumbent oversees the activities of the Technical Records team and ensures the integrity, compliance, and efficiency of aircraft maintenance records. The person in this role ensures that Transport Canada, manufacturer, and company maintenance manual requirements are met at all times while supporting the department’s day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and support Technical Records team members by providing effective guidance and knowledge transfer.
  • Act as a team leader and contribute to the planning and coordination of departmental activities.
  • Identify training needs and process improvement opportunities in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure the maintenance of a complete maintenance records system that complies with aircraft leasing industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate activities with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to optimize processes and support problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders involved in aircraft import and export activities to ensure an efficient workflow.
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of technical records for aeronautical products.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • College diploma or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an aviation technical records environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of aircraft leasing standards and requirements.
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, priorities, and urgent matters in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Excellent proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and demonstrated ease with collaborative digital tools and AI technologies (e.g., Copilot).
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Oral and written fluency in French and English.*

*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
