As Demand Planning Lead, you will play a key role in leading the end-to-end Demand Planning process and strengthening forecast accuracy through close collaboration with business teams in the division of Transportation and Energy Business Group.
In this role, you will be able to drive the Integrated Business Planning process, align commercial insights with demand plans, and partner with cross-functional teams including Business, Commercial, Supply Chain, and regional stakeholders to support service levels and inventory optimization. You will also contribute to collaborative planning with key customers and distributors while supporting process standardization across the region.
The impact you will make on this role
- You will lead the end-to-end Demand Planning process within the Integrated Business Planning framework.
- You will drive forecast accuracy by analyzing historical trends, managing outliers, and incorporating market and commercial inputs into the demand plan.
- You will implement strong alignment between business sales estimates and Supply Chain demand plans to support service and inventory targets.
- You will motivate collaboration across commercial teams, customers, distributors, and regional partners to improve planning processes and standardization.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain, or related planning roles.
- Experience with forecasting analysis, historical data cleansing, outlier management, and demand planning processes within Integrated Business Planning environments.
- Experience in collaborative demand planning with key customers and distributors.
- Knowledge of WAPA and BIAS analysis and forecast accuracy management.
- Languages: Intermediate English and Spanish proficiency, both written and spoken.

Work location:
- Work Location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the Sumare offices.
