Primary Purpose
Responsible for supervising assigned activities for receiving, dock management, asset management, and warehouse operations.
 

MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS
 

Education

  • Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience

  • Must have six (6) years' experience in inventory, warehouse, logistics, or other Supply Chain-related field.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership abilities by making positive contributions to your team or to your department, including but not limited to the following examples:
     
  • Leading Projects
  • Implementing Process Improvements
  • Meaningful Process Recommendations
  • Must have experience with inventory management software.

Equivalent Education and/or Experience

  • May have an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above

Certification/Registration/Licensure

  • Valid Driver's License Class C required.

Skills or Special Abilities

  • Must have decision-making, problem-solving, and self-starting abilities.
  • Must have communication skills in order to interface effectively with employees, leadership, multiple departments, and external vendors.
  • Must be familiar with asset or warehouse management systems.
  • Must be able to use a personal computer to generate reports, communicate with other departments, and maintain records.
  • Must be able to interact with RF devices to enable data system gathering.
  • Must possess advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to effectively analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with PC and MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook scheduling) and Lawson (or similar) asset management software.

Responsibilities

  • Selects, trains, schedules, motivates, supervises, and evaluates employees, and makes recommendations for disciplinary action up to and including termination to ensure maximum utilization of individual and group capabilities.
  • Ensures that assigned employees receive opportunities to further their knowledge.
  • Supervises hospital supply chain operations, coordinating the delivery and pickup of supplies and capital assets entering and exiting the facility.
  • Supervises the transfer of material between contract vendors, periodic and perpetual inventories, hospital departments, and warehousing.
  • Schedules and monitors all physical inventories.
  •  Monitors usage of supplies and/or assets in the inventory and par management system and runs utilization and inventory reports to aid in budgetary decisions.
  • Oversees all quality and safety checks as required by Parkland policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other duties or participates in special projects as assigned, including, but not limited to, leading projects, assisting customers, and co-workers as needed or requested by leadership.
  • May be assigned to other Supply Chain areas, including, but not limited to, receiving, warehousing, par management, equipment management, capital assets, courier service, fleet management, and mail room operations.
  • Completes daily/weekly/monthly documentation and reporting of Key Performance Indicators for all assigned activities.
  • Assists in the development and monitoring of the annual budgets that ensure the departments appropriately project the funds needed to carry out the goals and objectives that have been established for the department.
  • Meets routinely with customers to ensure needs are identified and met.
  •  Develops and recommends processes and collaborates with colleagues to ensure efficient, effective workflows within areas of responsibility.

Skills Required

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Six years of experience in inventory, warehouse, logistics, or another supply chain-related field
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities through project leadership, process improvements, or meaningful process recommendations
  • Experience with inventory management software
  • Valid Class C driver's license
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, communication, analytical, and self-starting abilities
  • Familiarity with asset or warehouse management systems
  • Ability to use personal computers, generate reports, communicate, and maintain records
  • Ability to interact with RF devices for data gathering
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and Lawson or similar asset management software
