Job Title: Quality Supervisor
Job Summary
Coordinate daily activities of the Quality department. Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure that the team’s resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met. Monitor the performance of equipment and processes; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve scheduling problems to maintain efficient operations.
Responsibility
- Supervise Quality personnel in the facility.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and supervision of Quality personnel.
- Develop and recommend test procedures for products, raw materials and maintain test equipment. Supports production requirements.
- Evaluate employees through performance reviews, ongoing coaching, and feedback.
- Support product launches and be involved in quality planning.
- Oversee the efficient implementation of quality standards, programs, and processes to improve operational efficiencies and reduce/eliminate production waste.
- Support internal audit system and participates in Process audits and LPA.
Academic/Educational Requirements
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- ASQ Certification and/or certificate in QA Program an asset.
Required Skills/Experience
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a quality or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Functional knowledge of SPC, ISO 13485 / AS9100 / ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO14001, MSA, PPAP and APQP.
- CMM Programming experience is an asset.
- Ability to use basic computer applications and software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
