As a Production Supervisor, you will supervise and coordinate employees who assemble parts, components or electrical units at floor stations. You will prepare work schedules, assign work, and oversee the work product. You will ensure conformance to established procedures and product quality levels. You will identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and supervise repairs as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker/labor requirements to complete job assignment.
- Interprets specifications, drawings/blue prints, and job orders.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
- Resolves manufacturing issues and assist workers in work problems.
- Maintains time and productions records.
- Estimates, requisitions and inspects materials.
- Enforces company policies and safety regulations.
- Confers with Sales and Purchasing regarding lead time, delivery, and BOM’s.
- Reviews and monitors workers’ performance and attendance.
Qualifications:
- Associates’ Degree in Business or related preferred; Experience can be substituted for degree
- 3 years required of supervisory experience in plant and manufacturing environment.
- 3 years required of quality and LEAN process understanding and ability to implement.
- Reasoning ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variable situations where only limited industry standard exists. Ability to interpret variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Mathematical Skills - Concrete understanding of numbers in relation to all unit of measures, ratio and percentages.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and demonstrable skills.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes.
