Shift:

The regular hours for this position are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday from 5:00pm to 5:30am. You will receive a 15% shift differential for working on the night shift.

Job Description:

The Supervisor, Production- Assembly & Test is responsible for the overall success of the Probes Test and Assembly operations to include safety, delivery, quality and throughput. The Supervisor has the principal responsibility for prioritizing and coordinating all manufacturing WIP management. Success in this position depends heavily on leadership, communication, and teamwork.  This role will work with engineering teams to resolve production roadblocks, implement new processes, and drive continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Leadership

  • Serve as the night shift safety champion and Emergency Response Team (ERT) member, acting as first-line defense for employee safety.

  • Identify, contain, document, and escalate safety issues; respond to incidents by securing the scene, activating ERT resources, and ensuring incident reporting is completed.

  • Lead with safety by starting every team meeting with safety topics and reinforcing safe behaviors across all areas, including break rooms and parking areas.

  • Conduct regular safety check-ins, participate in audits and walkthroughs, and complete assigned corrective actions.

Quality & Customer Focus

  • Ensure quality execution at all times, reinforcing the expectation of zero escapes and strict adherence to work instructions, temporary change orders, and discrepant material processes.

  • Monitor misprocessing, participate in stop-gap and 8D activities, and own resolution of internal and external audit findings as assigned.

  • Ensure employees are properly trained and certified, understand quality specifications, and escalate issues or ambiguities immediately.

  • Encourage team members to identify abnormal conditions and escalate excursions without delay.

Production & Working Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Own shift output performance by monitoring WIP, dispatching resources, balancing the line, and adjusting staffing and priorities throughout the shift.

  • Actively manage high-priority lots and communicate status to internal customers and stakeholders as needed.

  • Perform production work during periods of high loading, limited staffing, or as required to meet business objectives.

  • Escalate tool, engineering, staffing, or material constraints that prevent meeting production targets.

Ownership, Accountability & Presence

  • Be present and visible on the floor at the start, middle, and end of the shift, setting a clear example of accountability and engagement.

  • Ensure effective shift-to-shift pass downs and clear communication of priorities, expectations, and performance.

  • Support other factory areas as needed when acting as the senior leader on site.

People Leadership & Employee Relations

  • Directly supervise hourly employees, including work assignment, timekeeping compliance, break and meal adherence, and progressive discipline.

  • Immediately correct safety or policy violations, including PPE non-compliance, time theft, and inappropriate phone usage on the production floor.

  • Partner with People Experience and management on employee relations matters, maintaining confidentiality, fairness, and non-retaliation.

Communication & Engagement

  • Lead daily shift huddles focused on safety, staffing, priorities, and output goals; conduct shift-to-shift passdowns and engineering check-ins.

  • Maintain a regular cadence of communication with planning, engineering, quality, and downstream customers.

  • Foster an inclusive environment by listening actively, communicating respectfully, and ensuring employees feel heard and supported.

Motivation, Development & Talent Management

  • Provide timely feedback, coaching, and recognition, ensuring employees are never surprised during performance or merit cycles.

  • Support cross-training and skill development to build team flexibility and resilience.

  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, goal setting, performance reviews, and succession planning for the shift.

Preferred Skills & Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field. Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.

  • Experience in electronics manufacturing environment

  • Experience in a management or leadership role with direct reports

  • Experience with SQL and/or Access databases. Able to pull, manipulate and analyze data for metrics reporting.

  • Experience with metrics and tracking on-time delivery and performance analysis

  • Strong knowledge of ERP and MRP systems. Experience with QAD preferred.

  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications is required.

  • Outstanding ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and with external customers and suppliers when needed.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organization skills.  Demonstrates superior written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a microelectronic precision manufacturing cleanroom environment

  • Must be flexible to support a 24/7 operation and work extended hours based on company needs and be available for after-hours emergency calls.

  • Weekend and holiday work may be required.

Pay Range:

$72,100.00 - $94,605.00

Pay Range Explained:

This role in Beaverton, Oregon pays between $72,100.00 and $94,605.00 per year, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations. We offer a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), and paid time off. You’ll also be eligible for quarterly profit-sharing bonuses and flexible spending or savings accounts.
