Job Description
Oversee and coordinate daily pathology accessioning and gross room operations, supervising a team of technical staff. Ensure efficient workflow, maintain high quality standards, uphold regulatory compliance, and mentor staff development. Lead process improvements, manage discrepancies, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Job Responsibility
Provides day-to-day leadership and guidance to pathology staff, ensuring effective communication and achievement of department objectives.
Oversees technical aspects of pathology workflow, implementing process improvements and resolving operational issues.
Monitors quality assurance metrics, investigates discrepancies, and implements corrective and preventative actions.
Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and maintains a safe laboratory environment.
Collaborates with senior professionals to develop and refine methods, techniques, and analytical approaches.
Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff performance, fostering professional growth and development.
Manages equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, ensuring optimal functionality.

Job Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related
experience. - Current License to practice as a Pathologists' Assistant, Cytotechnologist, or Histotechnologist required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management
experience, required. - Histology background & Experience Preferred.
