What you get to do:
As the Full Time Aquatics Supervisor you will provide coverage as the department, including duty supervisor shifts, overseeing operation of all park attractions by providing active leadership to ensure safety, service and quality for both guests and ambassadors. Enthusiastically represents Sesame Place by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.

  • Ensure a safe environment for all Ambassadors and Guests.
  • Lead the development of all Water Safety Ambassadors through comprehensive training, consistent feedback, and ongoing coaching.
  • Enforce compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, park policies, and departmental procedures.
  • Assist Manger with ambassador and leadership scheduling
  • Guarantee that Ambassadors receive scheduled breaks and meal periods in accordance with company policy and labor laws.
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the park; conduct regular quality inspections and follow up on areas of improvement.
  • Maintain inventory and stock/replace area supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Respond to emergencies following established park protocols, providing support to Ambassadors as needed.
  • Deliver outstanding guest service by promptly addressing guest needs, expectations, and concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with peers across the department and with other park departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor, track, and record data for completion of daily and weekly operational reports.
  • Provide status updates to leadership on ongoing projects and completed assignments.
  • Offer support to other locations within the park as operationally required
  • Other duties as assigned.

What it takes to succeed:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Unrestricted availability, including weekends and holidays with a minimum of 5 days per week.
  • Valid LGI certification through red cross
  • Able to complete provided CPR/AED training/certification
  • Able to be trained and certified at all assigned areas and job functions
  • Able to climb stairs/ladders
  • Able to operate and maneuver in/around tight spaces
  • Able to use heavy equipment for cleaning
  • Comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations
  • Able to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
  • Able to train on and properly use protective gear
  • Comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor
  • Able to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, kneel, reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
  • Stand, walk, and/or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to positively interact with guests, co-workers, and vendors of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs
  • Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and team members
  • Able to remain calm and professional during challenging situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Skilled in organization and planning
  • Able to lift or move 75lbs
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license preferred
