Reporting to the Operating Room Manager this position is responsible for the daily operations of the Operating Room, and supervision of professional and non-professional personnel. Is an active member of the hospital leadership team, supporting the hospital and Patient Care philosophy and goals. Directs technical and nursing staff.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of 3 years clinical OR experience.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- CNOR certification is preferred.
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the state of Wisconsin is required.
- Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
- Analytical and statistical skills necessary to develop and monitor unit operating and personnel budgets.
- Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving abilities in order to resolve complex clinical, systems and personnel problems and issues.
- Provides advice and council on sensitive patient care matters, acting in a public relations capacity for issues with area of responsibility.
- Must be able to assume 24 hour availability for unit coverage.
