The Supervisor, Operations reports to the Manager, Operations and oversees the daily operations related to shipping, receiving, and packaging. This role ensures seamless workflows by identifying and resolving potential issues, optimizing processes, and enhancing overall performance. The supervisor works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align operations with organizational objectives while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and core values.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Team Management: Monitor performance, provide training and mentorship, and motivate employees while ensuring proper task delegation. Address conflicts and foster a productive workforce in compliance with procedures and policies.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Track key performance metrics, including quality, cost, delivery, and productivity, and report findings to upper management for informed decision-making.
  • Communication & Coordination: Collaborate with multiple departments, including sales, customer service, marketing, and finance, to optimize operational efficiency and workload distribution.
  • Payroll Administration: Review and verify employee payroll, manage overtime hours, vacation requests, and attendance adjustments before submitting for final approval.
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse and surrounding areas in alignment with Operation Clean Sweep standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Adhere to quality policies and procedures to minimize customer complaints and uphold product standards.
  • Safety & Compliance: Oversee employee adherence to safety protocols, compliance regulations, and documentation. Coordinate with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) teams to maintain a secure workplace.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of warehouse experience.
  • Proficiency in WMS and HighJump systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • 2+ years of experience using MS Excel, MS Word, and email systems.
  • Leadership competencies in expectation-setting, performance management, accountability, recognition, and communication.
  • Proven track record of maintaining high quality standards.
  • Ability to stand for short durations.
  • Ability to walk and climb stairs.
  • Ability to work in varied weather conditions (heat, cold, humidity).
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays based on customer demand.
  • Ability to lift, push, kneel, carry, and reach with arms and hands.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
