Essential Functions

  • Supervise office administrative or customer service staff to ensure quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures are followed.
  • Implement corporate and departmental policies, procedures, and service standards in collaboration with management.
  • Prepare and issue work schedules, deadlines, and duty assignments to maintain adequate staffing and effective performance.
  • Maintain and review records related to inventory, personnel, orders, supplies, and machine maintenance.
  • Resolve customer complaints and provide guidance to employees in handling complex problems and disputes.
  • Evaluate employee performance, prepare appraisals, and recommend personnel actions such as promotions or disciplinary measures.
  • Assess training needs and arrange or provide appropriate instruction for staff.

 

What Experience and Education You Need

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in office supervision or administrative management required.
  • Ability to use Company Software, Microsoft Office Suite, calculators, desktop computers, and photocopiers required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication required.

 

What Could Set You Apart

  • Cold Storage or Food Industry experience Ability to supervise employees.
  • Logistics or Warehouse Industry experience 

 

Physical Requirements

  • Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, reaching, and/or bending.
  • Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work, including the operation of computers, telephones, and similar equipment.
  • Requires ability to comprehend and communicate with others verbally and/or in writing.
  • May require travel by automobile and airplane for business.
  • May require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing.
  • May require the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning, and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
