SUMMARY: The Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) Supervisor will supervise the activity of the MRO and support team with a variety of manual and administrative tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for supporting, adhering to, and implementing policies and assignments as directed by the management of George’s Inc.
- Maintain up to date parts inventories, track discrepancies, and investigate abnormalities in parts use to ensure that all parts and supplies are accounted for and that a clear path of use is maintained in the MRO inventory system.
- Manage obsolete parts within inventory and to make arrangement for the removal/transfer of those parts.
- Responsible for providing adequate parts and/or support to processing plant personnel in performance of their duties.
- Communicate with maintenance personnel, to anticipate future parts requirements to maintain equipment performance and eliminate downtime.
- Check part inventories and order replacement parts to meet company thresholds for parts on premise.
- Collaborate with parts purchaser to track and manage parts orders and inventory.
- Verify documentation, reporting, and communicating around maintenance activities and parts are clear and concise and outline suggesting inventory changes or level variances.
- Train shift personnel to manage the internal processes, systems, and ordering of facility parts.
- Responsible for the storage of documents relating to maintenance activities and provide any documents required by management or for customer audits.
- Ensure proper storage of equipment and material.
- Responsible for understanding and abiding by the safety rules of the company and for the reporting of any accidents or safety violations.
- Manage/track completion of monthly department training within the training system.
- Adhere to and ensure direct reports practice proper radio procedures at all times.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will have supervisory responsibility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Required
- High school diploma or equivalent Plus 3+ years of experience in MRO/parts experience
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
