Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team in Simpang Ampat, Malaysia. In this role, you will lead and oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring high-quality production while maintaining safety standards and driving continuous improvement.

  • Lead and manage the manufacturing team to meet production targets, quality standards, and customer requirements
  • Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize productivity and reduce costs
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the production area
  • Monitor and maintain a high standard of 6S and ESD practices in the manufacturing environment
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve production issues and improve overall efficiency
  • Analyze production data and implement cost-saving strategies and techniques
  • Coach and mentor team members to foster a high-performing and motivated workforce
  • Oversee the maintenance of manufacturing equipment and facilities
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain to ensure timely material availability
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports to upper management

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing supervision or production management
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles
  • Proficiency in 6S methodology and ESD production environment practices
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in implementing cost-saving strategies and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and in a Class 1K cleanroom environment
  • Proficient in standard business application software (Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, MES)
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing

Preferred:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
  • Experience in automation framework development and implementation
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and smart manufacturing technologies
