Pacific Diagnostic Laboratories seeks a Supervisor, Laboratory Processing for their Pathology department responsible for the day to day operations of specimen receipt and processing activities, as well as for providing leadership in the department. Accountable for maintaining operational budgets, implementation of departmental policies, obtaining departmental goals and metrics, staff hiring, training and competency and evaluations. Ensures that the CP/AP Processing department provides quality services to maintain the highest specimen integrity and satisfactorily resolves all questions, concerns, issues, and complaints related to these services at all times. Ensures that the CP/AP Processing department meets its annual goals and objectives as established by PDL management. Responsibilities include:
- Supports and directs the daily operation of the laboratory area assigned and guides staff in meeting customer needs consistent with Cottage Health expectations.
- Duties will include, but not be limited to, staff scheduling, supply management, Kronos editing, QC oversight, training and competency, and staff assessment.

Education:
- Minimum: Associates Degree in science-related field or equivalent work experience, using the standard of 2 years of experience equals 1 year of college.
- Preferred: Bachelors Degree in field of science.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Preferred: Valid CPT, HT or HTL.
Technical Requirements:
- Minimum: Ability to perform administrative functions proficiently using MS Office and other software applications used to conduct operations.
Years of Related Work Experience:
- Minimum: 4 yrs in phlebotomy, laboratory, anatomic pathology, or other healthcare environment.
- Preferred: 4 yrs in phlebotomy, laboratory, anatomic pathology, or other healthcare environment, including 2 or more years supervisory experience.
Skills Required
- Associates Degree in a science-related field or equivalent work experience (2 years experience = 1 year college).
- Bachelor's Degree in a science field.
- Valid CPT, HT, or HTL certification.
- Proficiency with MS Office and other administrative software used in operations.
- Minimum 4 years in phlebotomy, laboratory, anatomic pathology, or other healthcare environment.
- At least 2 years supervisory experience (preferred, part of preferred 4 years including supervision).
