$52,395.20 - $92,164.80Position SummaryActs as a liaison for the pathology and clinical laboratory, the clinic, customers, and physicians. The supervisor will be responsible for hiring, training, and supervising the accessioning and logistics department staff. This position will develop procedures, processes and establish work standards designed to maximize productivity and efficiency of the accessioning and logistics process as well as create and maintain a process to keep clients informed on specimen testing status throughout the process.
Key Performance AreasEstablish standard work practices and procedures for accessioning duties and logistics processes that support departmental and company standards and strategic directives.
Provides continual evaluation of processes. Responsible for instituting initiatives to improve operations, efficiency, and service to both internal and external customers.
Supervise and coordinate all daily activities of the personnel in accessioning and logistics department. Ensure staff has the appropriate training and guidance to perform all job duties.
Monitor staff’s productivity and accuracy of work to provide performance feedback and coaching on a regular basis for all staff. Perform competencies and provide input on performance reviews.
Responsible for payroll processing and accurate timekeeping practices.
Responsible for distributing and tracking specimen collection and shipping supplies to clients.
Responsible for all processes and documentation relating to the send out of specimens to reference laboratories and laboratory specimen logistics coming from all clinics within the AON enterprise.
Collaborate with laboratory managers and the laboratory director to establish initiatives to improve processes and raise customer satisfaction.
Maintain appropriate documentation for CAP review to ensure the accessioning and logistics departments are prepared for inspection.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years experience in a customer service role with progressive level of responsibility. 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred. The supervisor will exhibit a proven ability to oversee a variety of people in a fast-paced, challenging environment. A minimum of 3 years experience in a pathology laboratory setting is required. Great attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills are mandatory. Must possess strong interpersonal skills required to train staff and collaborate with laboratory managers and administration.
