About the Role:
The Supervisor of the IVF Lab plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring that all procedures are conducted in compliance with industry standards and regulations. This position is responsible for managing a team of laboratory technicians and scientists, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes high-quality work and innovation. The supervisor will report to the lab director. Ultimately, the supervisor's leadership will directly impact the success of the IVF program and the satisfaction of patients seeking reproductive assistance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in an IVF laboratory setting, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory regulations and quality control standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- TS license preferred
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the IVF laboratory, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Manage and mentor laboratory staff, providing training and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- uphold established laboratory protocols and procedures.
- Hands on embryology procedures.
- Monitor laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring proper maintenance and availability for all procedures.
Skills:
The required skills for this position include strong leadership and communication abilities, which are essential for managing a diverse team and ensuring effective collaboration. Technical skills in laboratory procedures and equipment operation are crucial for maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Problem-solving skills will be utilized daily to address any operational challenges that arise in the lab. Additionally, organizational skills are necessary for managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring that all laboratory activities are completed efficiently. Preferred skills, such as proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with LIMS, will enhance the supervisor's ability to track performance metrics and improve laboratory processes.
