Oversees and organizes all operation activities during normal production for responsible area. Leads all team members to implement production safely, efficiently, and accurately based on safety regulations, standard operating procedures, checklists, quality standards, production plans, etc. Assists with implementation of lean methodology and/or health, safety & environment practices. Coordinates maintenance issues with the maintenance department and oversees safety during maintenance if necessary. Works with other personnel to complete equipment isolation, flushing, replacement, inspection, commissioning, etc. Communicates with team members on all issues. Provides performance evaluation input to supervisor. May work as a backup to positions in a shift group.

Skills Required
- Advanced knowledge of operational procedures and production tools
- Vocational or technical education
- Experience leading, training, delegating and reviewing work of lower-level employees
- Knowledge and application of lean methodology
- Knowledge of health, safety & environment (HSE) practices and safety regulations
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures, checklists, quality standards and production plans
- Ability to coordinate maintenance activities and oversee safety during maintenance
- Ability to work under limited supervision and lead daily operations
- Strong communication skills with team members and other departments
