Job Description
This job oversees the day-to-day operations of the discount coordinator team, ensuring the accuracy of customer discounts and rebates.
Esstional Functions:
- Supervise and provide daily oversight of the discount coordinator team; select, coach, train, and develop direct reports, to include appraising job performance and conducting performance reviews
- Ensure customer pricing and discounts are accurately implemented across several different platforms
- Review and ensure completion of key credit department reports and reconciliations
- Collaborate with sales, IT, wholesale, freight-only and finance team members to coordinate efforts, streamline processes and improve Guest experience
- Support relationships with key billing services; resolve escalated problems with billing services when they occur
- Review and approve manual rebates and back pays; collaborate with audit and compliance departments to ensure compliance
- Provide guidance and input for development of credit-related software to ensure all stakeholders’ needs are met; manage new and existing data within systems
- Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
- Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related business field required
- Minimum four years’ work experience required
- Supervisory experience in a similar role preferred
Specialized Knowledge
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge of principles and techniques used in conducting financial analyses
- Knowledge of financial and accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Strong systems orientation with the ability to rapidly develop deep knowledge and understanding of key credit department systems
