Position SummaryThe Clinical Nurse Supervisor provides clinical and operational leadership for the Neuroscience Unit, supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. This role assists with daily operations, staffing coordination, quality initiatives, and staff development while serving as a clinical resource for nurses, patients, and families. The supervisor functions as a staff nurse as needed and assumes managerial responsibilities as delegated by the Nurse Manager.

- Stroke and Transient Ischemic Attacks (TIA)
- Epilepsy and Seizure Disorders
- Parkinson's Disease
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Guillain-Barré Syndrome
- Other complex neurological conditions

Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient placement and staffing assignments.
- Supervise daily clinical operations and patient care activities.
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff.
- Assist with staff education, onboarding, and professional development.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
- Support quality improvement, patient safety, and stroke certification initiatives.
- Assist with department budgeting, inventory management, and resource utilization.
- Respond to changes in patient condition and provide direct patient care as needed.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
- Current RN license in applicable state and/or compact state licensure.
- Minimum of two (2) years of patient care experience.
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- Supervisory or charge nurse experience.
- BSN degree.
- Neuroscience, stroke, or acute care experience.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, reach, and assist with patient care activities.

Skills Required
