The supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of the work unit operations. The supervisor oversees the technical staff's functions within the lab. This may includes continuous surveillance, analysis and interpretation of patient's heart rhythm patterns and physiological parameters (including multi-lead ECG waveforms, blood pressure, ETCO2 and continuous pulse oximetry (SPO2), for both in-patients and out-patients, at rest and/or during stress testing. Procedures for these functions may include 12-lead ECG acquisition, overview heart rhythm monitoring, holter monitoring, event monitoring; interpretation of ECGs, holters, event monitors, beta testing/research activities and CV Outreach program activities. The supervisor provides effective leadership for the day-to-day management of the work unit. The supervisor represents the department at organizational/vendor meetings and is responsible for integration of services into the organization's primary functions.

QualificationsRequires a minimum of a bachelor's degree with one year health related/clinical experience or a high school diploma and five years' health related/clinical experience.
Must have demonstrated leadership, communication, problem solving and organizational skills. Must be able to multi-task efficiently and work independently. Master’s degree preferred.
Licensure or Certification:
Basic Life Support certification is required.
Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician certification is required within 1 year of hire.
