Overview
As Supervisor of Business Travel you will provide leadership to the business travel support team as they seek to serve the needs of Compassion International’s employees who traveling for business. This team provides exceptional service to Compassion employees as they prepare to travel both domestically and internationally. The primary purpose of this position is to provide daily supervision of assigned support and staff. This responsibility includes hiring and termination, as well as, coaching, performance management, assigning, checking, and approving work to meet specific objectives.
What will you do?
Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintaining a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully uphold Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understand Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commit to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately support responses to incidents if they occur.
Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.
Provide leadership, planning and consultation to subordinates and peer management in the successful alignment of assigned department resources to ensure achievement of operational priorities and initiatives, integrating priorities within organizational strategies to ensure that department's purpose is fulfilled.
Contribute to or prepare and administer the annual budget and departmental expenses, ensuring accountability for on-time completion of deliverables based on department objectives, and other Compassion standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory and board policies.
Select, manage and develop assigned staff, establishing goals and objectives, coaching and managing performance, including discipline, motivation, and annual reviews; support continuous learning and development that enhances individual performance and organizational capability.
Lead a team of travel associates who book international and domestic flights for Compassion staff.
Oversee associates who fulfill online ticket requests. Ensure appropriate fare search is performed for maximum cost savings.
Play a key role in the development of corporate travel policies. Handle escalated non-compliance concerns from travel associates as needed.
Drive the development of scalable, efficient, and sustainable processes by empowering the team to implement best practices, optimize workflows, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to support long-term growth.
Cultivate excellence within the team by guiding the team to develop deep knowledge of international and domestic travel regulations, logistics, and best practices—ensuring seamless experiences and operational excellence in all travel-related matters.
Develop and implement communication standards to ensure all travel-related details are conveyed clearly to stakeholders.
Within the travel team, foster deep knowledge of travel regulations, logistics, and business travel best practices.
Oversee the dissemination of critical travel information, ensuring policies, itineraries, and requirements are presented in an accessible and comprehensive manner.
Optimize processes for travel communication, continuously improving documentation and briefing methods for business travelers.
Provide leadership and mentorship, cultivating a culture of precision, efficiency, and customer-centric service.
What do you bring?
10-12 years experience in Corporate Travel.
5+ years of people management experience.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Ability to travel up to 10% of normal schedule.
