Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Broadcast Operations Supervisor will direct and coordinate all of Master Control's responsibilities and duties for their defined shift. Their technicians troubleshoot and resolve issues associated with the collection and retransmission of live signals in standard and high definition. In addition, the team manages HD and SD recorded content including PPV media and commercial playback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises a staff of up to 12 operators with differing experience levels
- Creates and balances the staffing for their defined shift
- Has on-call responsibilities
- Attends multi-department meetings and may be asked to fill in for department manager when needed
- Provides training, leadership, and mentoring
- Performs 1-1 meetings with direct reports
- Writes and issues performance appraisals and goals
- Communicates and executes disciplinary actions
- Works closely with other supervisors and department managers to achieve team goals
- Recruits, interviews, and participates in the selection of new hire employees
- Reviews and determines the impact of outages and develops preventative and corrective actions
- Works independently to prioritize the work of subordinates and delegates work assignments on a daily basis
- Has the ability to interpret the cause of abstract outages and possesses the skills to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or at least four years of experience in radio, television broadcasting, or related field
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals and technical procedures
- Ability to write reports, communicate vital information, and respond to questions from managers and customers
- Working conditions are normal for a 24/7 office environment. Working weekends, evenings, and nights will possibly be required

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $54,650.00/Year - $78,100.00/Year

Skills Required
