ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Plans and executes daily and weekly schedule of manpower allocation to achieve weekly shipment, lead time and OTD targets using the production plan provided by the Planning team.

  2. Leads in conducting studies in the formulation of new operation rules and procedures to upgrade manufacturing efficiency, minimize production of defective parts and improve manufacturing cycle time.

  3. Generates and presents KPI’s to support departmental targets and initiates necessary actions and improvement plans to meet the defined goals and objectives. 

  4. Plans and monitors the daily activities, issues or problems encountered in the production line during night shift and coordinates with the other departments in the formulation of necessary solutions. 

  5. Orients and trains new assemblers during the immersion from the first day up to the end of the training period to meet the learning curve and to achieve the defined targets.

  6. Studies and recommends annual manpower requirements based on the plan to ensure that required number of assemblers will be utilized.

  7. Conducts performance appraisals and discuss to assemblers their periodic appraisal results. 

  8. Reports to Night Shift Manager the status of production operation. Monitors schedule and progress to determine if the daily or weekly plan will be met in accordance with daily/weekly shipment plan released by Planner, otherwise, recommend recovery and improvement actions.

  9. Conducts regular line patrol to ensure that the production line and activities are in accordance with the established rules and documented procedures.

     

  10. Initiates 5’s and continuous improvement by engaging the team members to improve efficiency and good working condition in the production area.

  11. Enforces workplace safety standards, proper tool and PPE (Personnel Protective Equipment) use to ensure safe working production environment.

  12. Analyzes records and use them in conducting studies in the formulation of new operation rules and procedures to upgrade manufacturing efficiency and minimize production of defective parts by using the softcopy monitoring, Oracle or shop clock whichever is applicable.

  13. Supports other service departments by providing them with manpower especially on company related activities such as company outings, scheduled inventory count, yearend party etc.

  14. Performs other duties as may be required by the superior.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education :

Bachelor’s   degree or preferably any related Engineering degree.

Expérience :

At least six (6) years of work experience in manufacturing company with mechanical assemblies and at least three (3) years of supervisory level or lead role. Preferably with Manufacturing Engineering experience.

Skill/ Technical Requirements :

Computer literate

Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Ability to read and interpret schematics (prototype stage), assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, color code, Bill of Materials and blueprints

Know how to use common and pneumatic tools and measuring instruments. 

Familiar with 7 QC tools, Kaizen and 6S

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Ability to engage and lead the team to meet team and company set goals

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related Engineering field
  • At least six years of work experience in a manufacturing company with mechanical assemblies
  • At least three years of supervisory or lead experience
  • Manufacturing Engineering experience
