The following positions within Inpatient Adolescent Psychiatry, Inpatient Adult Psychiatry, Psychiatric Emergency Services, CARES, and Outpatient Behavioral Health Services are offering the opportunity to enroll in a new program offering a cash incentive to recognize your work treating patients with substance use disorders. This program is sponsored through the ACCESS (Advancing Careers, Competencies, and Equity in Substance Treatment Services) grant. Employees must be >0.6 FTE to be eligible. 50% of the bonus will be received 90 days after signing the program contract.
· Registered Nurses (RNs) may earn up to $7,500 by December 2024
· Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) may earn up to $3,500 by December 2024
· Care Navigators may earn up to $3,500 by December 2024
Job Summary
Under general supervision, provides administrative, clinical, and supportive supervision to addictions program clinical staff at the Denver CARES or OBHS clinic(s). Establishes a coaching/mentoring/learning alliance with staff to increase knowledge, skills, abilities, and attitudes. Motivates employees through open communication, timely feedback, and leading by example. Participates in policy planning and implementation. Plans, schedules, coordinates, and assigns work to assure service provision, including coverage. Strives to create a positive customer experience by committing to higher standards and communicating compelling vision.
Essential Functions:
- Provides administrative, clinical, and supportive supervision to addictions program clinical staff. (10%)
- Assists in developing, implementing and interpreting policies, procedures, and programs to assure program compliance with all Denver Health policies and the state of Colorado substance abuse treatment rules and regulations. (10%)
- Engages in leadership standard work as adopted by the organization (patient and staff rounding, visual management board, daily huddles). (10%)
- Routinely communicates with the management/leadership team regarding staff service activities, and problems needing department leadership attention. (10%)
- Delegates authority and responsibility as appropriate. (10%)
- Builds productive cohesive teams. (10%)
- Routinely meets with staff for review of cases, problem solving, clinical supervision, job performance, ongoing communication and consultation. (5%)
- Identifies areas for team and/or individual growth and development. (5%)
- Promptly addresses staff performance, attendance, or behavioral issues. (5%)
- Provides timely and appropriate feedback with courtesy and respect. (5%)
- Completes employee performance reviews, annually and as needed. (5%)
- Assures that new or reassigned employees receive appropriate orientation to job responsibilities. (5%)
- Plans, schedules, coordinates and assigns work to assure service provision, including coverage. (5%)
- Monitors caseloads and recommends adjustments as needed. (5%)
Education:
- Master's Degree Required
Work Experience:
- 1-3 years Three years of post-master’s direct social work or counseling experience in an organized clinical setting Required
Licenses:
- LCSW-Licensed Clinical Social Worker - LCSW State Licensing Board Required and
- LPC-Licensed Professional Counselor - LPC State Licensing Board Required and
- CACIII-Certified Addiction Counselor III - NAADAC - The Association for Addiction Professionals Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of supervision tactics and ongoing development of supervision abilities.
- Knowledge of clinical social work and/or clinical counseling and the patient population served.
- Knowledge of applicable substance abuse treatment rules and regulations pertaining to the programs(s) supervised.
- Knowledge of change in leadership and/or learn management.
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
- Skill in identifying problems and opportunities to improve care.
- Ability to encourage and enhance work performance through feedback, mentoring, coaching, and through example.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, required.
