Purpose of the Role:
Responsible for the maintenance and management of the company's payroll. Collecting and reviewing of all payrolls related reports to ensure accurate processing of employee information is recorded in the company's payroll system and to ensure compliance with South African legislation and company policies. To ensure all employees are paid accurately and timeously. To ensure good standing with all relevant external stakeholders. i.e. SARS, Department of Labour and the Compensation Fund. To ensure all external payments are reconciled and paid accurately and timeously. To ensure payroll legislation updates/changes is communicated with the relevant internal stakeholders and service providers.
Key Responsibilities and Performance Indicators:

• System updates, projects and maintenance : Ensure the payroll system is maintenance and updated as per company policy changes and requirements. nsure confirmation of updates from the relevant external stakeholders to ensure compliance with all legislation.
• Compilation of all detailed payroll reports: Ensure all employee payroll related changes are captured and processed in all payrolls. Ensure all employees' payroll records are updated monthly are taxes are calculated as per tax legislation. Reconciles to GL's.
• Approvals: Ensure all monthly payroll reports are reviewed and approved by the relevant stakeholders for auditing purposes.
• Weekly and Monthly journals : Process all weekly and monthly payroll journal entries are recorded and submitted to the finance division. Perform accurate recons of all payrolls on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Third party payment: Ensure all third-party payments are reconciled and paid to the relevant stakeholders to avoid non-compliance and penalties. Ensure the company is on good standing with all relevant payroll legislation bodies.
• Payroll reports and schedules : Ensure all payroll reports are distributed and supplied to all relevant internal and external stakeholders
• ESS/Dimensions Administration: Ensure all new employees are registered on the portal. Upload all monthly payslips and confirm it reflects in the employees' records. Upload all annual IRP5's and confirm it reflects in the employees' records.
• Ad-hoc payroll related matters: Attend to all payroll related queries. Internal and External. Administration of all medical aid changes. Submission of pension and Provident Fund withdrawals upon employee termination.
• Auditing: Ensure all relevant audit payroll request, queries are attended to.

Job Holder Requirements:

• Qualifiction: Diploma in Accounting or in Payroll
• Expereince: 3-5 years experience as a payroll supervisor and or Manager with weekly and monthly payroll. Knowledge of payroll principles, practices, regulations & procedures. Knowledge of applicable statutory & tax related laws. Understanding of payroll legislation. Knowledge of accounting practices & procedures.
• System Knowledge: Experience in Sage Payroll and Psiber payroll system.
