Summer Student Employment Program - 2025

SUMMER STUDENT EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM (SSEP)

Summer Student Employment Program (SSEP) will be offered this year. The requirements for eligibility in the program are as follows:

• Program is designed specifically for high school and college students to give them the opportunity to work in functional areas tied to their college major and interests.  

• Part-time work may be available prior to end of school year.

• The applicant must be 18+ years of age with working papers (if applicable)

• The online application process must be completed in order to be considered.

• A positive performance evaluation must have been received from the prior year, if student is a returning program participant.

• Interview priority will be given to dependents of an Ithaca BorgWarner Morse Systems employee.

• Assignments will be based on Company requirements, qualifications, and experience.  Engineering students will be given opportunities in applicable technical areas where possible.

• The minimum pay rate will be at the labor grade 7 hiring rate of $17.82

• Safety shoes (ANSI approved) may be required. They are reimbursable at $150 with purchase receipt (one pair only).

• The period of employment is student’s availability, approximately May 15th – August 31st dependent on student’s school schedule.
