The IT GRC (Information Technology Governance, Risk Management & Compliance) team operates within the broader IT Security Department. Our focus encompasses various aspects, including technical and physical risk assessment, data governance, promotion of best security practices, and the implementation of security controls to counter vulnerabilities and threats. Our primary objective is to safeguard Agoda and its employees.
This role presents an exciting challenge for individuals seeking to thrive in a fast-paced technological environment while honing their soft and practical skills.
The Opportunity:
As an IT GRC Intern, you'll be part of a dynamic, multicultural team. Your role will involve learning and collaborating across different domains, working alongside team members on various tasks. You'll be encouraged to think outside the box, exploring different security fields, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions.
In this Role, you’ll get to:
- Contribute to IT Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance projects.
- Innovate by automating tasks for improved efficiency.
- Participate in audit programs, testing internal controls' effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with Agoda's policies and industry regulations.
- Support the implementation of IT Audit, Standard, Policy, Compliance, and Risk controls.
- Engage in developing internal security awareness programs.
- Participate in Vendor Risk Management Process (VRMP), Business Resilience, and Crisis Management activities.
- Collaborate with diverse teams within the security department.
- Assist in physical security assessments, including site inspections and access control evaluations.
- Support crisis management activities, including response plan development and simulation exercises.
What you’ll Need to Succeed:
- Studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Management or any related fields
- Eagerness to learn and experiment
- Passion for automating, auditing, and testing
- Team player mindset
- Analytical thinking skills with strong organization and attention to detail.
- Strong written English and verbal communication skills
It's Great if you have:
- Familiarity with security concepts and protocols.
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages (Python, Java, etc.).
- Understanding of risk management principles.
- Familiarity with PCI DSS, SOX, NIST CSF frameworks.
