Role description:
We are looking for driven, curious, and collaborative undergraduate or graduate students to join our NYC office for our Summer Internship Program. As an intern at Symphony, you won't just shadow team members, you will work on real projects that impact our platform, clients, and internal workflows.
Whether you are passionate about software development, product management, market strategy, or business operations, this program offers hands-on experience, direct mentorship from industry leaders, and exposure to the intersection of finance and enterprise technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Depending on your team alignment (Engineering, Product, Business Operations, or Sales/Marketing), responsibilities may include:
- Project Execution: Own and deliver an end-to-end summer project that solves a critical business or technical challenge.

- Research & Analysis: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, or technical feasibility studies to support product features and strategic decisions.
- Process & Product Optimization: Work with cross-functional teams (Design, Engineering, Legal, and Business Operations) to refine platform features or streamline internal processes.
- Technical Contribution (Engineering Track): Assist in writing clean, scalable code, developing APIs, or improving backend/frontend workflows for our secure collaboration platform.
- Data & Reporting: Gather, organize, and analyze key operational or user engagement metrics to present actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Final Presentation: Present your summer project, outcomes, and recommendations to Symphony leadership at the end of the program.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate (Junior or Senior) or Master’s degree program
- Strong academic record in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a self-starter mindset.
- Proficiency with standard office tools (Google Workspace/MS Office); technical candidates should be proficient in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or SQL.
Compensation: $30/hour
