Basic Job Purpose:
The Summer Intern employee supports daily production operations by assisting in multiple areas of the manufacturing facility as needed. This temporary seasonal role is designed to provide flexible labor support during peak production periods while giving employees exposure to various manufacturing tasks and departments.
Assignment of Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist production staff with general manufacturing and assembly tasks
- Rotate between departments based on staffing and production needs
- Load and unload materials and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
- Operate basic manufacturing equipment after training
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
- Perform inspections and report defects or equipment issues to supervisors
- Support inventory counts and material movement as needed
- Complete additional duties assigned by supervisors or management
Minimum Requirements for Education, Skillset, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Must be a US Citizen
- High school student, recent graduate, or college student preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is helpful but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 pounds occasionally
- Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and production environments
Schedule
- Seasonal/summer position
- Full-time or part-time hours available based on production needs
- Overtime may be required during peak periods
Work Environment - This position works in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, moving equipment, and production materials. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
