Data Engineering Intern
The Digital Centre of Excellence team is looking for a Data Engineering Intern who will assist the Data Engineering team in their initiatives to manage an enterprise data warehouse for analytical purposes as well as business intelligence reporting. They must have a working knowledge of SQL-based databases. Knowledge of Python programming is preferred. They must be comfortable working with the larger Data Engineering team. The right candidate will have a passion for learning data-related technologies and other tools in the data stack. Candidate must be willing to learn new technologies.
During their internship, the Data Engineering Intern will be assigned a project that they can complete. The Data Engineering Team will help them learn new technologies and how they can apply that knowledge in completing the project.
Minimum Qualifications
- Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering educational background preferred.
- Working knowledge of SQL required. Knowledge of Python programming preferred.
Location: We have offices in Santa Monica, CA, San Francisco, CA, Durham, NC, and Asheville, NC and New York, NY. Preferably a candidate will be based near one of our office locations. Preferable the candidate will be based in the East Coast time zone. Additionally, we are on a hybrid schedule 3/week.
Compensation: The hourly rate for our undergraduate internships is $25/hr. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
