Position SummaryThe Marketing Specialist Intern will lead a comprehensive competitive research initiative focused on evaluating AMN Healthcare’s social media presence, communication practices, and job application experience relative to key competitors. This role provides high-visibility exposure to marketing strategy, digital communications, and candidate experience analysis, with the opportunity to independently shape research methodology and deliver actionable recommendations.
Scope of Work & ResponsibilitiesThe intern will support strategic marketing initiatives by:
- Leading a competitive research effort assessing social media strategy, communication channels, and application experience
- Independently gathering and analyzing data from competitor social platforms, marketing materials, and application workflows
- Leveraging social media analytics tools, marketing research frameworks, and internal reporting systems
- Benchmarking AMN’s current practices against competitors and industry standards
- Identifying gaps, strengths, and opportunities across digital touchpoints
- Developing insights-based recommendations to improve strategy and execution
- Preparing and delivering a formal presentation of findings to cross-functional stakeholders
- Hands-on experience in competitive analysis and marketing research
- Exposure to B2C and B2B social media evaluation and digital communication best practices
- Experience analyzing email, SMS, and social channel effectiveness
- Ability to synthesize research findings into clear, actionable recommendations
- Development of project management, stakeholder communication, and presentation skills
- Practical experience influencing marketing and candidate experience strategy
- Competitive landscape analysis informing enhancements to social media and communication strategy
- Clear recommendations to improve job application and candidate experience
- Actionable insights to strengthen AMN’s digital engagement with prospective clinicians
- Improved marketing workflows and strategic decision-making
- Measurable contributions to AMN’s competitive positioning in the healthcare industry
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 0–2 years of related experience
- 3.0 GPA
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student or recent graduate
- Interest in marketing, digital communications, strategy, or research
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Clear written, verbal, and presentation abilities
- Comfortable conducting independent research and analysis
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Curiosity, initiative, and a results-oriented mindset
- Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
- Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

Pay Rate$17.25 - $20.50 HourlyFinal pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
