Position Summary:

The Sales & Market Research Specialist Intern will work independently to conduct in-depth market research focused on identifying labor disruption opportunities across the United States. This role requires research that goes beyond standard AI tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT and emphasizes original investigation, networking, and strategic planning. The intern will be responsible for compiling, validating, and synthesizing market intelligence that informs AMN Healthcare’s labor disruption business strategy and sales growth initiatives.

Scope of Work & Responsibilities:

The intern will support strategic sales and labor disruption initiatives by:
• Independently planning and executing market research projects focused on labor disruption trends and workforce instability
• Conducting national-level research to identify emerging labor disruption opportunities across healthcare markets
• Gathering intelligence through networking, industry outreach, public data sources, and direct research beyond AI-generated insights
• Researching provider organizations, geographic markets, and service lines experiencing labor shortages or disruption
• Compiling and validating findings into clear opportunity pipelines
• Analyzing market size, urgency, competitive dynamics, and potential solutions
• Benchmarking AMN’s capabilities against market needs and competitor positioning
• Developing insights-based recommendations to guide sales strategy and business development efforts
• Preparing and delivering a formal presentation of findings to sales leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
• Clear recommendations to support sales strategy and market prioritization
• Actionable insights guiding AMN’s approach to workforce disruption solutions
• Measurable contributions to data-driven sales and strategic decision-making

Qualifications:

Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
0–2 years of related experience
3.0 GPA

Additional Requirements
Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student or recent graduate
Interest in market research, sales strategy, business intelligence, or workforce analytics
Ability to work independently with limited oversight while collaborating with cross-functional teams

Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in an office/home office environment.

    Pay Rate$21.00 - $24.75 Hourly

    Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
