ONE Gas, a premier natural gas distribution company with corporate offices in Tulsa, OK, is looking for a Data Science Intern to join our enterprise analytics team. ONE Gas Data Science Interns receive challenging and exciting project assignments as well as opportunities to network with other interns and leadership. ONE Gas Interns are placed within departments and given the opportunity to experience the type of work they might encounter in a full-time position through projects, on-the-job assignments, job shadowing, and presentations. ONE Gas Internships offer a competitive environment that provides students with project management and teamwork experience. 

Work assignments are anticipated to be in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a hybrid work schedule. 

What You Will Do

• Work as part of the AI, Data and Digital Transformation team and learn key aspects of the data science lifecycle, from problem definition through model deployment. 
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights using statistical and exploratory data analysis techniques. 
• Develop, test, and evaluate predictive and machine learning models to address business challenges and support data-driven decision making. 
• Execute a data science project within the team's area of responsibility and present findings, recommendations, and business impact at the conclusion of the internship.
• Contribute to related analytics, data, AI, or digital transformation projects that support the team’s priorities, including emerging business needs, process improvements, or opportunities to apply data-driven methods in adjacent areas.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.

What You Will Need

Prefer students who are projected to graduate in December 2027 or May 2028 with an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Management Information Systems or Computer Science, but may consider other applicable majors.

Prefer students with a GPA above 3.0 and involvement in extracurricular and community support activities, particularly those demonstrating leadership. Prior work experience (internships, summer or part-time work while attending school, etc.) is also preferred. 

Compensation: All ONE Gas internship positions are paid. We offer a fair and competitive pay rate.
