The Consortium for Professional Development is seeking a creative and motivated Studio
Learning and Development Intern to support the development of high-quality online learning content for our Learning Management System (Learning Connection).
This intern will work hands-on in our professional recording studio—using cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and an LED-panel screen—to help produce polished training videos for the Learning Connection. This role is ideal for a student studying Visual and Media Arts, Media Studies, Media Arts Production, or Film/Video Production and offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world studio, editing, and instructional media experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate studio recording equipment including cameras, microphones, lighting, and LED-panel display setups to capture high-quality video content.
- Record and edit new video content for use in our Learning Management System.
- Edit video content using Adobe Premiere Pro and Camtasia to produce polished, professional training modules.
- Assist in script development, content outlines, and storyboarding for learning videos.
- Support trainers and on-camera talent by providing direction on cues, positioning, delivery, timing, and best practices for on-screen presence.
- Ensure all media aligns with the Learning Connection’s brand identity and maintains consistent visual standards.
- Help organize media files, manage project assets, and maintain an efficient production workflow.
- Offer creative input during ideation sessions and help bring video concepts from initial idea to final product.
- Assist with basic graphic design needs; experience with Canva or eagerness to learn is welcome.
Required Qualifications
- Boston-based candidates only.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university, primarily studying:
- Visual and Media Arts
- Media Studies
- Media Arts Production
- Film/Video Production
- Experience or coursework involving video production and editing.
- Working knowledge of studio equipment or a strong desire to learn.
- Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro and Camtasia.
Preferred Skills
- Strong visual storytelling abilities.
- Ability to collaborate with subject-matter experts and non-technical staff.
- Comfortable giving direction to on-camera talent.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Interest in instructional design or digital learning is a plus.
