Ursa Major’s Summer 2026 Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the aerospace and defense industry while contributing to meaningful, high-impact projects that support our mission and drive innovation in propulsion and advanced manufacturing.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented People Operations Intern to join our team! As a People Operations Intern you will gain hands-on experience across key HR functions. You’ll contribute to projects and initiatives in Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Talent Management, and Learning & Development, helping us build an exceptional employee experience from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
- Assist with job postings, candidate sourcing, and resume screening
- Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring teams
- Maintain our ATS and ensure data accuracy across recruitment pipelines
- Help create engaging employer branding content for social media and job boards
- Conduct market research on talent trends and best practices
- Support coordination of career fairs or campus recruiting events
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Assist in preparing onboarding materials and welcome kits for new hires
- Help coordinate orientation sessions and track onboarding progress
- Gather feedback to improve the onboarding and offboarding experiences
Talent Management
- Support the tracking and organization of performance review cycles
- Help update employee records and assist with data reporting
- Assist in employee engagement initiatives and culture-building activities
Learning & Development
- Research and curate learning content and training resources
- Help coordinate internal workshops, training sessions, or lunch & learns
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field
- Strong interest in talent acquisition, business partnering, and employee experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and/or HRIS
Program Details:
- Location: On-site at our Berthoud, CO facility
- Duration: Approximately 10–12 weeks
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
- This is a paid internship
Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $29.00/hour, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The salary range for this role is intentionally wide as we are evaluating individuals based on their unique experience and abilities to fit our needs.
